Skills

Set Up:

  • Hold baby in your hands, ensuring you are supporting their head and neck

Description:

  • Talk to the baby and explain they are going on an aeroplane ride. Hold baby in your arms, ensuring you are firmly supporting their head and neck. Lift baby and fly them around slowly and gently, looking and responding to baby’s cues of enjoyment. Responding to baby’s cues, you may add in aeroplane noises, rock them faster or fly them to pictures or mirrors on the wall.

Variations:

  • Place baby into tummy time on the floor and gently position their arms outstretched, like an aeroplane. Place toys in reach of baby for them to grasp.
