1. Creating a lesson
- Click on the 'Dashboard' button in the top right-hand side of the page (or the 'Dashboard' button next to your class if you teach multiple classes)
- Click on the subheading ‘Lessons’ (it’s between 'Programs' and 'Planner')
- Click the ‘Create lesson’ button and start lesson planning!
- If you would like to share your created lessons with colleagues inside and outside your organisation, ensure that you tick the 'Shareable' box when creating your lesson. You can then choose whether you want to share only within your organisation, or with everyone.
Your lesson must have a Title and Description, but other than that, it is completely customisable to what suits you - choose the skills and activities that you want!
2. How do I make my created lessons appear on the dashboard?
The only way for your created lessons to appear on the 'Dashboard' is to place them in a program. See 'Creating and managing programs' for instructions to create your program.
3. Printing a lesson
- Click on the 'Dashboard' button in the top right-hand side of the page (or the 'Dashboard' button next to your class if you teach multiple classes)
- Click on the subheading ‘Lessons’ (it’s between 'Programs' and 'Planner')
- All the lessons you have created should be visible. You can print them out by clicking on the blue printer icon next to each lesson. This will download your lesson plan as a PDF, ready for you to print. You can print out all the KIDDO lesson plans too!
4. Editing a lesson
You can’t edit the KIDDO lessons that we have prepared for you, however, if there is a KIDDO lesson you like, but need to make changes to, use the ‘Create lesson’ button to make a customised version of a KIDDO lesson!
You can edit any of the custom lessons you have created yourself.
You can edit them by clicking on the three dots on the right-hand side of each lesson, and selecting 'Edit'
5. Sharing created lessons with others
- When you create your lessons, underneath the title and description, tick the box to make your lesson shareable.
- You can then choose to share your lesson:
- Only within your organisation - all staff members who have access to your school's KIDDO membership will be able to view your lesson
- Everywhere - anyone who has a KIDDO membership will be able to view your lesson
You can also save your created lessons as a PDF and email them to your colleagues.
- Click on the 'Dashboard' button in the top right-hand side of the page (or the 'Dashboard' button next to your class if you teach multiple classes)
- Click on the subheading ‘Lessons’ (it’s between 'Programs' and 'Students')
- All the lessons you have created should be visible. You can save them by clicking the blue printer icon next to each lesson. This will download your lesson plan as a PDF, ready for you to share.
6. Finding lessons created by others
- Click on the 'Dashboard' button in the top right-hand side of the page (or the 'Dashboard' button next to your class if you teach multiple classes)
- Click on the subheading ‘Lessons’ (it’s between 'Programs' and 'Planner')
- Click on 'Find lessons'
- If you want to find a lesson from within your organisation, you can search or scroll through 'Internal lessons'
- If you want to find a lesson from outside your organisation, you can search or scroll through 'External lessons'
- If you choose the lesson, it will automatically be saved to your custom lessons
7. Changing the weekly lesson
- If you simply want to change the lesson to a different lesson within the current 10-week program you are working from, go to the 'Dashboard' for your class and find the box containing the weekly lesson. You can move forward or backward through the program by clicking on the arrows in the bottom right-hand corner.
- If you want to change the entire lesson to one that is not in the current program you are working from, you need to:
- Go into your 'Dashboard' and find the subheading ‘Programs’ (it’s between 'Assessments' and 'Lessons').
- You will see all the programs listed. Scroll down to the Program Schedule and click on the ‘Customise’ button.
- You will then be able to delete the current program. If you change your mind or delete a program in error, you click the ‘Revert’ button and it will automatically revert to the original KIDDO program.
- Go back to the top of the page where the programs are listed and drag the program you would like to use into the Program Schedule on the dates you would like it to be used.
Note: You can create your own lessons by clicking on the subheading ‘Lessons’ and then ‘Create Lesson’. You can then create a program of your created lessons by clicking the ‘Create Program’ button within the subheading ‘Programs’.
8. Changing morning fitness activities and/or brain breaks
Changing morning fitness activities:

- Choose your selected activity from the list. Use the search bar to find specific activities, or simply scroll through them. Click the yellow 'View' button to see each of the activities in more detail
- Drag your selected activity to your chosen date and drop it in. NOTE: You can only customise the activities for future dates
- If you change your mind, click on the 'x' in the top right-hand corner of the activity, and then drag and drop a new activity
Can I set the week's program of morning fitness activities?
Yes! Follow the procedure outlined above to schedule a week, month, term, or year of activities!
Changing brain breaks:
- Click on the 'Dashboard' button in the top right-hand corner of the page (or the 'Dashboard' button next to your class if you teach multiple classes)
- Find ‘Today’s Brain Breaks’
- Click on the pink box with the circular arrow
- In the black box on the right, there is a list of the selected brain break activities for the day. You can change their order by clicking on the arrows to the left of their name, or you can delete them by clicking on the rubbish bin icon to the right of their name.
- In the white box on the left, you can search or scroll through all the brain break activities. Click on the ones you would like to add and then click ‘Save’ and your brain break activities should be updated!
Note: You will always have three brain breaks as the system doesn't allow you to have any more or any less, but you don't have to do them all in a day.
