For a step-by-step guide on developing your own program, you can watch our 'how-to' video.
1. Creating a program
- Click on the 'Dashboard' button in the top right-hand side of the page (or the 'Dashboard' button next to your class if you teach multiple classes)
- Click on the subheading ‘Programs’ (it’s between 'Assessments' and 'Lessons')
- Click the ‘Create program’ button, and choose a title and the week you would like to do the assessment (this date doesn’t matter)
- If you would like to share your created program with colleagues inside and outside your organisation, ensure that you tick the 'Shareable' box when creating your lesson. You can then choose whether you want to share only within your organisation or with everyone. When you share a program, you are also consenting to sharing any custom lessons within that program
- Click ‘Next’ and choose the skills you will be focusing on in your program (you can choose between 1 and 3 skills)
- Click ‘Next’. Now you can choose your lessons! All the KIDDO lessons that are relevant to the age group and skills you have chosen will be displayed, as well as any lessons you have created and lessons that have been shared with you from within and outside your organisation. Simply add the lessons you want and save your program!
NB: If you want to program lessons you have created yourself, you need to create them first. Instructions for how to create lessons can be found HERE

- You can then choose to share your program:
- Only within your organisation - all staff members who have access to your school's KIDDO membership will be able to view your lesson
- Everywhere - anyone who has a KIDDO membership will be able to view your lesson

7. Changing the weekly lesson
- If you simply want to change the lesson to a different lesson within the current 10-week program you are working from, go to the 'Dashboard' for your class and find the box containing the weekly lesson. You can move forward or backward through the program by clicking on the arrows in the bottom right-hand corner.
- If you want to change the entire lesson to one that is not in the current program you are working from, you need to:
- Go into your 'Dashboard' and find the subheading ‘Programs’ (it’s between 'Assessments' and 'Lessons').
- You will see all the programs listed. Scroll down to the Program Schedule and click on the ‘Customise’ button.
- You will then be able to delete the current program. If you change your mind or delete a program in error, you click the ‘Revert’ button and it will automatically revert to the original KIDDO program.
- Go back to the top of the page where the programs are listed and drag the program you would like to use into the Program Schedule on the dates you would like it to be used.
Note: You can create your own lessons by clicking on the subheading ‘Lessons’ and then ‘Create Lesson’. You can then create a program of your created lessons by clicking the ‘Create Program’ button within the subheading ‘Programs’.
