1. How do I create my own program?

  1. Click on the Dashboard button in the top right-hand corner of the page (or the Dashboard button next to your room if you work in multiple rooms), and find the subheading ‘Programs’ (it’s between Reports and Experiences).
  2. Click the ‘Create Program’ button, and choose a title and the week you would like to do the milestone report (this date doesn’t really matter). 
  3. Click ‘Next’ and choose the skills you will be focusing on in your program (Ideally between 1 and 3). Click ‘Next’. Now you can choose your experiences! All the KIDDO experiences that are relevant will be displayed, as well as any experiences you have created. Simply add the experiences you want and save your program. 

NB: If you want to program experiences you have created yourself, you need to create them first. You can create your own experiences by clicking on the subheading ‘Experience’ and then ‘Create Experience’.
 

2. Uploading a program to appear on the dashboard

  1. Click on the 'Dashboard' button in the top right-hand side of the page (or the 'Dashboard' button next to your Room if you teach multiple Rooms)
  2. Click on the subheading ‘Programs’ (it’s between 'Reports' and 'Experiences')
  3. Scroll down to 'Program Schedule' where you will be able to see all the KIDDO programs
  4. Click 'Customise'. You will now be able to delete the KIDDO programs by clicking on the blue cross in the top right-hand corner of each program
  5. Drag and drop the program you created into the dates you would like it to run. It will now appear on your dashboard on the dates you have chosen.
     

3. Sharing created programs with others 

  1. When you create your programs, underneath the title and assessment week, tick the box to make your lesson shareable.
  2. You can then choose to share your lesson:
    • Only within your organisation - all staff members who have access to your school's KIDDO membership will be able to view your lesson
    • Everywhere - anyone who has a KIDDO membership will be able to view your lesson

4. Finding programs created by others 

  1. Click on the 'Dashboard' button in the top right-hand side of the page (or the 'Dashboard' button next to your Room if you teach multiple Rooms) 
  2. Click on the subheading ‘Programs’ (it’s between 'Reports' and 'Experiences')
  3. Click on 'Find programs'
  4. If you want to find a program from within your organisation, you can search or scroll through 'Internal programs'
  5. If you want to find a program from outside your organisation, you can search or scroll through 'External programs'
  6. If you choose the program, it will automatically be saved to your custom programs

5. Editing a program

You cannot edit any of the KIDDO programs, however, if there is a program you like but would like to adjust, you can duplicate the program by following the instructions below:

  1. Click on the 'Dashboard' button in the top right-hand side of the page (or the 'Dashboard' button next to your Room if you teach multiple Rooms) 
  2. Click on the subheading ‘Programs’ (it’s between 'Reports' and 'Experiences')
  3. Click on the three dots next to the KIDDO program you would like to make changes to, and select 'Duplicate'
  4. From there, you can choose to change the elements of the program you need. When you reach the lessons, any relevant custom lessons you have created will be available for selection, as well as the KIDDO lessons
  5. Ensure that you click 'Save' to save your program!

To edit one of your own programs:

  1. Click on the 'Dashboard' button in the top right-hand side of the page (or the 'Dashboard' button next to your Room if you teach multiple Rooms) 
  2. Click on the subheading ‘Programs’ (it’s between 'Reports' and 'Experiences')
  3. Click on the three dots next to your program you would like to make changes to, and select 'Edit'
  4. Make the required changes and click 'Save' at the end

6. Printing a program (New Feature) 

Click on the ‘Dashboard button’ in the top right-hand side of the page (or the ‘Dashboard’ button next to your Room if you teach in multiple Rooms)

  1. Click on the subheading ‘Programs’ (it’s between 'Reports' and 'Experiences')
  2. Each program displays a blue printer icon on the right-hand side. 
  3. Click on the blue printer icon for the program you would like to print. 
  4. A PDF of the program will be created and will appear in your downloads.
  5. You can then save the program or print it to share within your service. 

The PDF will contain a weekly program overview for the duration of the program. The weekly summary includes the names of activities relating to the chosen fundamental movement skill, as well as learning intentions, EYLF Outcomes and NQS Quality Area links for each activity in the program. 

7. I customised the programs, but now I would like to go back to KIDDO’s suggested programs. How do I do this?

  1. Click on the Dashboard button in the top right-hand corner of the page (or the Dashboard button next to your class if you work in multiple rooms), and find the subheading ‘Programs’ (it’s between Reports and Experiences).
  2. Scroll down to the Program Schedule and click on the ‘Revert’ button and it will automatically revert to the original KIDDO program.
