KIDDO offers both in-person Professional Development opportunities and a fully online Certificate of Physical Literacy professional development course for teachers, educators and coaches wanting to build their capacity to help children aged 3-8 years develop the fundamental movement skills, confidence and motivation to be physically active. Courses are tailored for your role and the setting you work in. The course is available to KIDDO Certified and KIDDO Leader members.

The KIDDO in-person Educator Professional Development program provides your Educators with the skills and knowledge to run purposeful planned activity with the children in your school/centre.

Includes:

  • Face to face briefing for all Educators
  • Train the trainer program – Educators shadow UWA instructors and gain skills and confidence to deliver KIDDO program
  • Build the capacity of the Educators to design sessions and continue on the KIDDO program using the KIDDO website and resources
  • Refresher session 1 month after KIDDO - KIDDO expert will come to your centre, shadow educators and offer advice for ongoing implementation

Our KIDDO Movement Assessment Program includes us coming to your school/centre and performing individual movement assessments for all of the children in your class/year/school/centre.

  • For children aged 3+ years
  • Each child/parent receives an individual physical assessment report with their assessment scores, their percentile ranking in relation to the other children across Australia that we have tested and activities they can do at home to continue developing their Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS).

Online Professional Development

Online professional development for teachers, early childhood educators & carers as well as coaches, administrators and development officers across all junior sports.

Be at the forefront of the Physical Literacy movement by completing a Certificate of Physical Literacy.

This 6-lesson online course authored by both Australian and world-leading experts in Physical Literacy is based on the latest research and is filled with practical, relevant case studies and resources to use in your setting. With courses tailored to different professions, there is a course to suit you.
