1. How does KIDDO qualify as a supported cost in the Remote Sporting Schools Grant?

KIDDO is an approved activity provider under the "Sport-related professional development" category and meets the criteria as a supported grant activity and cost as it is all about the "upskilling of teaching staff, community members and senior students to deliver sport."

KIDDO equips schools with tools and resources to build fundamental movement skills and a game sense approach that support ongoing participationation across all sports and physical activities. Better still, it will continue to support your school beyond the life of the grant. KIDDO saves teachers time, taking care of all of the programming and planning for them and supports their growth through its free professional development opportunities.

KIDDO can also help upskill your senior students to deliver physical activity and sport programs with your younger students. Makes it easy with lesson plans and activity videos at their fingertips for a huge range of sports.

 2. Does KIDDO align with our state/territory's curriculum?

KIDDO is geographically responsive, which means it aligns to the current HPE curriculum used in your state or territory.

When your school selects its location in KIDDO, the platform aligns its scope and sequence, lesson content, term dates and terminology to the relevant curriculum framework, for example:

  • Queensland, South Australia, Northern Territory, Australian Capital Territory: Australian Curriculum (HPE)
  • Western Australia: WA Curriculum (HPE)
  • Victoria: Victorian Curriculum (HPE)
  • New South Wales: PDHPE Syllabus

This means teachers can plan and teach with confidence that KIDDO supports the learning expectations and language used in their local curriculum, while still keeping delivery practical and adaptable for mixed-age and remote contexts.

3. Does KIDDO only work with certain sports?

Not at all! KIDDO is designed to complement any sports or physical activity that you'd like to do. It equips you with tools and resources to build fundamental movement skills and game sense approach that support the development of confidence and skills performance across all sports and physical activities.

4. What do I put on my Remote Sporting Schools grant acquittal form?

When reporting on how you used your grant just note down that you purchased a KIDDO Remote Sporting Schools Package and the cost of that product.
