Baby Safari
A classic game of hide-and-seek turned into a fun jungle safari!
Set up
Hide toys and other objects under a blanket in an open space. Place baby on the floor near the blanket.
How to play
Step 1
- Hide objects under the blanket and place baby on the floor near the blanket – speaking to them about the “safari adventure” you’re going on
Step 2
- Encourage your baby to inspect what is under the blanket. Do this by catching the baby’s attention and then peeking under the blanket
- You may find a toy elephant, and show the baby, celebrating the ‘treasure’ find
Step 3
- Encourage baby to do the same
Variations
Make it easier
- Have toys within arms reach under the blanket
Make it harder
- Have blanket further away, so children must crawl or walk to the blanket
