Beach Ball Blanket Toss
This activity is a fun way to practice ball-tracking. Minimum of two people are required, so why don’t you join your child in this one?!
How to play
Step 1
- Have your child hold one end of the blanket and you hold the other
- Start with the beach ball in the middle
Step 2
- Working together, lift the blankets up fast to throw the ball in the air
Step 3
- Try and keep the ball bouncing up and down by holding the blanket tight and catching and flinging as the ball bounces
Variations
Make it easier
- Hold the blanket and tilt it and watch the ball roll away! Don't let it tip off!
Make it harder
- Try with multiple balls - different weighted balls is a great way to explore power with tossing and catching
