Elevator Rides

This fun activity helps build baby’s strength for tummy time.
Set up
Lie on your back and hold baby on your chest.
How to play
Step 1
- Lie on your back and hold baby firmly
Step 2
- Slowly raise baby into air and say “Ding” once your arms are fully extended (at the top of the elevator)
Step 3
- Lower baby back down and “Ding” again when baby is on your chest
Step 4
- Repeat until baby loses interest
Variations
Make it harder
- Encourage the baby to pick up, and drop off an object (small toy) from your chest with each elevator ride
