Minefield Soccer
A fun soccer game to set up at home using anything you can find!
Set up
Set up an 'minefield' obstacle course using things around the house (such as pillows, buckets, chairs and brooms). Set up a goal to kick into at the end of the minefield (a pillow propped up against a wall, two water bottles, a flag taped up in a doorway).
How to play
Step 1:
- When it's your turn, try to dribble your soccer ball through the minefield without touching any of the obstacles
Step 2:
- If you touch an obstacle, return to the beginning and try again!
Step 3:
- Once you reach the end of the minefield, kick a goal!
- Pass the ball to the next person, or play again, designing a new minefield or goal
Variations
Make it easier
- Give children a lot of room to manoeuvre around mines
- If you hit a mine, you can continue
Make it harder
- Time yourself, and then see if you can beat that time
- Change up the minefield every time - make it as challenging as you like
- Introduce a parent or sibling to defend the goal
- Make the goal smaller
- Play blindfolded!
