Soccer Marbles

Boy kicking ball

Children attempt to score as many points as they can by kicking their soccer ball at their partner's soccer ball. Simple set up, great for all abilities. You will need one soccer ball per participant.

Set up

Two children (or you) face one another. Give each child a soccer ball.

How to play
Step 1:
  • When you say, "Go", children attempt to kick their ball into their partner's ball, at the same time
Step 2:
  • With each successful hit, they score a point
Step 3:
  • See how many hits you can get in 1 minute, or how many in a row you can get!
Variations
Make it easier
  • Start the children close together to build confidence
Make it harder
  • Increase the distance between partners
  • Use your non-dominant foot
  • With each successful hit, one partner takes one step back. If the balls miss, take one step forward
  • Points go back to zero if the balls miss
