Supported Standing

This simple exercise familiarises babies with the sensation of standing, encouraging independent stands.
How to play
Step 1
- Support your baby whilst they stand on your lap, holding baby's trunk
Step 2
- With hands on their torso, gently lift baby up and down to encourage weight in the feet
Variations
Make it harder
- As your baby develops, encourage them to hold onto nearby toys or furniture instead of you
