Ten Pin Kicking

This take on the classic game of Ten Pin Bowling is a fun way for young children to learn soccer kicking skills.
Set up
Set up the pins/cones/cans in a triangle formation. About 3-5 metres away, mark a line with two cones for your child to kick from. Have a soccer ball here, and your child standing behind the line.
How to play
Step 1:
- Your child starts behind the line
- On your command, your child takes their kick, aiming for the ‘pins’
Step 2:
- If they knock over any pins, they fix them and collect their ball, running back to the line
Step 3:
- You can keep score, if your child wishes to keep a tally, or just see how many pins they can get!
Variations
Make it easier
- Make the alley shorter
- Use a lighter ball, like a spiky ball
Make it harder
