Password FAQs

Why do I have to set-up a new password?

All KIDDO users will be prompted to reset their password to meet these requirements the next time they log in after 17 November. These stronger passwords help protect your account and data from unauthorised access.

As of the 17th November 2025 we’ve introduced new 14 character complex passwords that must include:

  • At least one uppercase letter
  • At least one lowercase letter
  • At least one number
  • At least one special character (e.g., @ # $ % & *)

How do I update my password?
  1. Log in using your current password. You will then be taken to your profile.
  2. Enter your current password
  3. Then scroll down to new password and enter a new password according to the requirements above,
  4. Re enter the password into the confirm password field.
I have forgotten my password and can’t login?

Click “Forgot password?” on the login screen and enter your registered email address. You’ll receive an email with a link to create a new password that meets the updated security requirements.

If you don’t receive the email within a few minutes, check your junk or spam folder and ensure you have entered the correct email address.  If you’re still having trouble, contact admin@kiddo.edu.au for help.

Two-Factor Authentication FAQs

Do I have to set up Two-Factor Authentication (TFA)?

TFA is currently optional but strongly recommended. It adds an extra layer of protection to your account by requiring both your password and a one-time code when logging in.
You can set it up using email, an authenticator app, or both (recommended) by following these steps:

  1. Go to your profile (click on the person icon) in your KIDDO dashboard.
  2. Select the TFA tab.
  3. Choose “Set up with email” or “Set up with an app.”

I have set up Two Factor Authentication, but I am having problems logging in. What should I do?
  • Double-check that the code you’re entering matches the one sent to your email or generated by your authenticator app — codes expire after a short time, so you may need to request or generate a new one.
  • If you’ve changed devices or deleted your authenticator app, use the email option to log in instead.
  • If you still can’t access your account, please contact admin@kiddo.edu.au and we’ll help you reset your TFA settings.
