What is KIDDO?

Fun. Play. Imagination.

KIDDO is an all-in-one online platform for children aged 0-5, that gives educators the confidence, skills, and tools to help every child develop their physical literacy and gross motor skills.

Developed by researchers at The University of Western Australia, KIDDO provides educators with:

  • Evidence-based training and professional development
  • Ready-to-use teaching and learning experiences and over 140 simple, fun activities.
  • Tools to track, assess and share children’s physical milestone progress
  • Resources to engage families in their child’s physical development

Everything is aligned with the EYLF and NQS, saving educators time while improving outcomes for children.

Why KIDDO?

Children today are moving less and developing fundamental movement skills later than ever before:

  • Only 12% of children meet physical activity guidelines in ECEC settings.
  • Poor motor skills are linked to lower confidence, weaker social skills, and challenges with emotional regulation and learning.
  • The proportion of children vulnerable in the Physical Health and Wellbeing domain of the Australian Early Childhood Development Census has been increasing since 2009.

KIDDO provides an evidence-based program, designed specifically for ECEC, aligned to the EYLF and NQS, that saves educators time with ready-to-use activities and resources.

It equips educators with simple, practical strategies – from active play to role modelling – to build children’s physical literacy every day.
