Terms and Conditions
1. By entering the ‘WIN KIDDO FOR YOUR SCHOOL’ you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.
2. Instructions on how to enter, prize details and other information contained within the promotional advertisements and point-of-sale materials form part of these terms and conditions. By participating in this competition entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
3. The Promoter is The University of Western Australia (ABN 37 882 817 280), 35 Stirling Highway, CRAWLEY Western Australia 6009.
Who Can Enter
4. The competition is open to all Australian Primary School staff members aged 18 years or older. Employees of the Promoter, and their immediate families are ineligible to enter. Immediate family includes any of the following: spouse, exspouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, stepparent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin or sibling living under the same roof.
Competition Period
5. The competition commences on Thursday, 17 October 2024, and concludes on Friday, 25 October 2024.
How to Enter
6. To enter the competition you must complete the entry form for ‘WIN KIDDO FOR YOUR SCHOOL’ at www.kiddo.edu.au/win-kiddo-for-your-school
7. Strictly only one entry per person. Only one entry per person will be accepted.
8. Prize will be drawn from the entries that meet the terms and conditions.
Prize
9. The prize consists of a 12-month KIDDO membership for the Primary School that the entrant is employed at, at the time of the draw.
10.The prize cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.
11.In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster, the Promoter reserves the right to
cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion or suspend of modify the prize, subject to
any written directions from a relevant regulatory authority.
12.Prize is subject to KIDDOs terms and conditions.
Draw
13. There will be one winner drawn from entries collected from attendees of the 2024 NSW PDHE Conference in Ballina and the 2024 ACHPER QLD Conference in Tallebudgera. They will be drawn at random on Thursday, 31 October 2024.
14.The winner will be notified within one (1) week of the draw.
15.The winner’s draw will take place at KIDDOs offices. The winner will be drawn
randomly from all valid entries.
16.The winners will be notified by email or phone. In the instance that the winner cannot be
contacted on the phone number or email address provided 5 working days after the draw date,
the prize will be forfeited and a new winner will be drawn.
Privacy
17.You consent to the use by The University of Western Australia of Your details and acknowledge that The University of Western Australia, may, at their discretion disclose and use those details for
the purpose of providing goods or services, communicating with subscribers, planning, research,
product and business development and sales, the promotion and marketing (whether targeted,
direct or indirect) of their businesses, services or products or those of a third party which it
believes may be of benefit to them. The details will also be used to investigate complaints, as
required or permitted by any law, to enable The University of Western Australia and related
corporations to perform its obligations under this or any other agreement and to ensure that a
subscriber performs their obligations under this or any other agreement.
18.If an entrant does not want their details to be used for the purposes stated in Clause 16. please
write to KIDDO at email admin@kiddo.com.au and KIDDO will ensure that the details
are not used for that purpose.
19.To access personal information kept by KIDDO, as part of The University of Western Australia, please contact admin@kiddo.edu.au . Please note that information will only be provided to the person detailed and current photographic identification may be required prior to the release of any personal information.
20.The University of Western Australia Privacy Policy applies and the full version can be viewed online at
https://kiddo.edu.au/privacy .
21.It is a condition of entry that all prize winners agree to have their name, photo and school name
published for publicity purposes if required. By participating in this competition, participants
signify their acceptance of all conditions and the requirement to participate in promotional
activity if required.
General
22.The Promoters’ decision on all matters related to this competition is final and cannot be
contested. No correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter reserves the right to limit entry
or amend rules if considered necessary without notice.
23.Any costs of using and accessing the Website via a mobile phone, tablet or other devices will be
dependent on the entrant’s individual mobile and internet service provider. The Promoter is not
responsible for any costs associated with any mobile, telephony, internet access and usage. The
Promoter is not responsible for any other costs associated or incurred as a result of the entrant’s
entry into the Competition.
24.Any person caught tampering with the website, entry mechanic or any electronic element related
to the promotion will be automatically disqualified and could result in legal action.
25.The Promoter is not responsible for any data or other information related to this program that
may be lost, damaged as a result of any computer software or hardware malfunction. Any issues
occurring as a result of computer problems will be rectified as quickly as possible.
26.All entrants release from, and indemnify the Promoters against, all liability, cost, loss or expense
arising out of acceptance of any prize(s) or participation in the competition including (but not
limited to) loss of income, personal injury and damage to property and whether direct or
consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.
27.The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who the promoter believes has
breached any of these terms and conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper
misconduct. The promoter has legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such
an offender.
28.The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize
winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought by the winners.
29.The Promoter may, subject to State Regulations, terminate this competition at any time at its
absolute discretion without liability to any contestant or other person.
30.On completion of the prize draw, all entries will be stored for a 12-month period at The University of WA. This is a mandatory requirement of the Gaming and Wagering Commission Act 1987.
